Sunshine

I am loving this new Sunrise Impression plate and the Hello Sunshine stamp set from Papertrey Ink. Take a look at one of the cards I created this week:

I started with the impression plate and then stamped and embossed the design in the center of the sun. I sponged some Lemon Tart ink around in the center and lightly sponged some out from the center along the rays as well. The sentiment was stamped in black and die cut with a Nestabilities die and added to the card with foam tape and a pretty ribbon and bow. The clouds (also from PTI) were die cut and pierced along the edges. These were then added to the card with foam tape as well for dimension.

A lot of white which is not the norm for me but I am very happy with the results. Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back again soon!

Lovely! I love the texture you added by poking the holes in the cloud diecuts!

Great idea, Mary! Sponging the center sun image is so effective and I love how you used yellow/gold as the main accent on the white backgrounds! I'm just watching the closing ceremony for the Olympics, and your card made me think of all those athletes who won gold medals!!
