Dad You're an All Star!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. And the Moms that are "Dads" too. We are celebrating quietly at home today with some steaks on the grill, homemade strawberry pie (I will post the recipe tomorrow) and a movie this evening. Just the way I like Sundays.

We gave my hubby his gift (movies and an Amazon gift card) and this is the card I made to go along with his goodies:

I used the newer stripe impression plate from Papertrey Ink on the navy textured cardstock, the chevron dies to cut a couple of red chevrons and the ticket die to cut the band of tickets from kraft cardstock. The sentiment is from the Just a Ticket set and "Dad" is from a CTMH alphabet set. The little star was cut from the Tiny Tags die, also from PTI.

Hope you enjoy your Sunday, however you spend it!

Well done. Nifty use of the chevrons and the ticket die. The stripe IP works well here too.

Super card--great way to use normal stamps and dies to make a masculine card. I don't have any masculine sets either, but always manage something. Love how you used the striped IP.
