Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving Day! I hope you all enjoy the day, no matter how you celebrate. We are hosting dinner for 10 (or maybe 11) at our house today and I am doing all of the cooking so I am thankful for the ability to schedule blog posts in advance :)

It's that time of the month again - time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

From Nichole, here is the theme of this month's blog hop:

"Recently the design team and I put together a variety of holiday tags that are perfect to keep on hand for quick wrap options. Now it's your turn to inspire us and the rest of the Papertrey community! Design a holiday tag or two using all of your favorite goodies and share it with all of us! We will all have plenty of inspiration to create a large stash and try to get ahead of the hustle and bustle of the season!"

Fabulous idea - but did I follow the instructions? Umm, no. Yes, I made a tag but it's not a holiday one. Somehow that wasn't in my mind at all when I squeezed in a little creating time today between the pie baking and the floor vacuuming. But I think you'll like what I created any ways - at least I hope so!

I had some new PTI goodies that I couldn't wait to try out and as my daughter will soon be turning 30, I thought this would be a perfect girly tag to use on her birthday gift.

The tag shape itself was cut with the Nestabilities Label 14 die. I liked the curvy look of this shape as it went well with the dress form image. I used some paper from the Library Ledger pack, the new Dress Form die and stamp set, some Aqua Mist ribbon, Limitless Layers dies and finally a doily that was inked up with chamomile ink to soften up the original white color of the doily. A few brown pearls from my stash were also added to the dress for a little bling.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to join me again tomorrow when I Guest Design with the team at Off the Wall Craftiness!

Beautiful, Mary! Who cares about directions. Be a free spirit! Be unique. (as long as I get to borrow your idea.) There are no tag police, at least I hope not. I feel a CASE coming on. (that's my new song as I hop the blogs) Thanks for the inspiration.

What a pretty tag, Mary. I love the colors and embellishments used. Can't wait to receive the Dress Form die and stamp set in the mail. Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't care if this tag isn't Christmas or holiday.....I LOVE it! I didn't order this stamp/die set but after seeing the DT and this tag of yours, it will now be in my cart. I like how you can use the die and just "dress" it up without the stamp. Happy Thanksgiving! Can't wait to see your post for OTWC tomorrow!

How super cute!! I love the way you dressed up the dress form! So cute!! (And, to let you in on a little secret, my first tag I made was for a birthday because I was thinking the theme was tags in general. I'm so glad you posted this anyway...a tag is a tag and inspiring no matter the theme!)
