Happy Thanksgiving Day! I hope you all enjoy the day, no matter how you celebrate. We are hosting dinner for 10 (or maybe 11) at our house today and I am doing all of the cooking so I am thankful for the ability to schedule blog posts in advance :)
It's that time of the month again - time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!
From Nichole, here is the theme of this month's blog hop:
"Recently the design team and I put together a variety of holiday tags that are perfect to keep on hand for quick wrap options. Now it's your turn to inspire us and the rest of the Papertrey community! Design a holiday tag or two using all of your favorite goodies and share it with all of us! We will all have plenty of inspiration to create a large stash and try to get ahead of the hustle and bustle of the season!"
Fabulous idea - but did I follow the instructions? Umm, no. Yes, I made a tag but it's not a holiday one. Somehow that wasn't in my mind at all when I squeezed in a little creating time today between the pie baking and the floor vacuuming. But I think you'll like what I created any ways - at least I hope so!
I had some new PTI goodies that I couldn't wait to try out and as my daughter will soon be turning 30, I thought this would be a perfect girly tag to use on her birthday gift.
The tag shape itself was cut with the Nestabilities Label 14 die. I liked the curvy look of this shape as it went well with the dress form image. I used some paper from the Library Ledger pack, the new Dress Form die and stamp set, some Aqua Mist ribbon, Limitless Layers dies and finally a doily that was inked up with chamomile ink to soften up the original white color of the doily. A few brown pearls from my stash were also added to the dress for a little bling.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to join me again tomorrow when I Guest Design with the team at Off the Wall Craftiness!

This is fabulous, Mary! I'm close to your daughter's age, and I would love to get a tag like this from my mom! Happy Thanksgiving!
Beautiful, Mary! Who cares about directions. Be a free spirit! Be unique. (as long as I get to borrow your idea.) There are no tag police, at least I hope not. I feel a CASE coming on. (that's my new song as I hop the blogs) Thanks for the inspiration.
This is gorgeous! I love the lace doily and ruffle on the dress form.
So pretty! What a great shape for a tag!

Lovely tag with great attention to detail.
I love this tag! The doily and the dress form make it oh so vintage-y!
Absolutely fabulous tag Mary! Your daughter is gonna LUV it!! And brilliant idea to use the Label 14 die with the dress form die! It's all about the curves isn't it, lol?!?

gorgeous tag Miss Mary! i think your daughter will love it.
Your tag is beautiful!
What a pretty tag, Mary. I love the colors and embellishments used. Can't wait to receive the Dress Form die and stamp set in the mail. Happy Thanksgiving!
I don't care if this tag isn't Christmas or holiday.....I LOVE it! I didn't order this stamp/die set but after seeing the DT and this tag of yours, it will now be in my cart. I like how you can use the die and just "dress" it up without the stamp. Happy Thanksgiving! Can't wait to see your post for OTWC tomorrow!
What a fun tag - very 'curvy' and 'girly' I'm sure your daughter will love the thought and attention to detail!
That dress form is fab! Way to rock the PTI tag challenge.
It's a good life!

How super cute!! I love the way you dressed up the dress form! So cute!! (And, to let you in on a little secret, my first tag I made was for a birthday because I was thinking the theme was tags in general. I'm so glad you posted this anyway...a tag is a tag and inspiring no matter the theme!)
