Today I am excited to be joining the team at Off the Wall Craftiness and Guest designing for this week's challenge and wait till you see these awesome colors:
Now I have to say, gorgeous as these colors are, I had a little trouble coming up with exactly the right shades of everything and ended up with a gold-yellow color rather than an orangey color but I liked the results, so I'm sticking with it!
Here's my card, based on a sketch from i{heart}2stamp:
The lovely image is from Lili of the Valley and was colored with Copic markers. It's hard to see in the photo but I also added some sparkly Spica pen to the berries, the dots on the bird's wings, and there is Diamond Stickles on the snow.
I stitched a couple of sections to the card base, wrapped baker's twine around the bottom section and added three wood-like buttons to the card, along with the sentiment (from Papertrey Ink).
I hope you check out the challenge at Off the Wall Craftiness this week and play along! These colors just speak holiday time and now that you're full of turkey, you deserve a day to stamp!
Thanks to Kim at OTWC - I enjoyed being a Guest DT this week!

i think your colors are perfect! any darker and i don't think it would have shown off the details as well.
Love these colors!
FYI: I have blog candy up here!
Thank you for being our guest Mary!!! :)
Mary, I think you created a beauty with these colors! I almost used the "yellowy" color as well....these colors were soo pretty to use. I love all the twine you've used.....adds just the right touch!
Congrats on being part of our team this week! I enjoyed visiting with you via email!
This is incredible! You did a great job with the colors. All the details are making my heart go pitter-patter ... the coloring, the rounded corners, the mix of stiching, the button cluster, and the striped twine. Awesome work! And congrats on your design spot!
