For Dad

You haven't forgotten that Father's Day is fast approaching, have you? This week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges, it's all about Dad. But there is a requirement - you must create your project using scraps and/or recycled items! Put your thinking caps on! Here's my card:

All of the products are from Close To My Heart except the snaps, which were leftovers from another project. I used a section of a page from a vintage book and stamped my word DAD with Barn Red ink. The pieces that say Role Model and Someone to look up to are pieces of B&T from the paper pack I used: It's a Guy Thing. The arrow (an image from the set Star Struck) was stamped with Cocoa ink, cut out and added to the card front with foam tape.

So, before next Sunday comes and goes, you better get that card ready for Dad! You know he deserves it! When you get it created (and don't forget to use scraps and/or recycled items), post to your blog or other online gallery and then leave a link at the challenge blog. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

In other news, I took a few photos of yard flowers today and posted them at Ridiculous Lab. I would love to share them with you so I hope you take a look (wait till you see my gorgeous hydrangea!)

Back to work tomorrow and another to-do list to conquer! Have a great week!

I love your card! I like the idea of using the pages from old books...though my own dad might kill me if I ever tore a page from one! Got my reading gene from him I guess. The snaps give it jus the right kind of masculine touch!
