A summer-y card to share

I haven't been able to get into the stamp room this week because 1). I'm still sore and achey and not feeling up to sitting at the stamp table for long and/or 2). we were without power when a brief and strong storm flew through here yesterday taking out the power for about 10 hours as well as the last 1/2 of a tree in my backyard that embedded itself into my roof!! Yes, deja vu all over again almost exactly a year later. Damn nature.

Anyhow, I did get a couple of cards created before I went into the hospital so I have one to share with you today:

I used the Fruitful stamp set from Papertrey Ink and stamped the orange/lemon/lime across the gridline cardstock to create the background. The jar was stamped on white cardstock, cut out and stamped with "lemonade". I then made a layer for the jar out of vellum but simply cuttting around the stamped jar. I slipped a stamped and cut straw between the layers and added an orange to it as well. The tag is from Tiny Tags. The ribbon was a piece in my stash.

Makes me think of summer, but then again, these 100+ temps do too! Hope you're staying cool! I'll be back again soon!!
