Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Today is the Papertrey Ink customer blog hop and we are basing our artwork on the following inspiration photo:

I took my cue from the colors and ruffles and created this card for my Mother-in-Law's birthday:

(The colors are a little wonky in this photo - the background is more yellowy than the peach that it appears to be).

I used a printed paper that was folded to create pleats and added to the bottom edge of the card then wrapped with a buttery ribbon. The Button Boutique focal image is embellished with 2 felt buttons and 2 clear embossed buttons. The button card itself is stamped in Spring Moss and is a little darker in person (drats, my photo skills on this one!) Since my MIL is a fabulous seamstress, I think she will appreciate this card. At least, I hope so!

For another new card - a wedding invitation - visit Moments of Your Heart. Thanks for stopping by!
