Summertime

I know it just officially became summer but it feels like summer should be half over by now because we have had such a long string of really warm weather so far. That's not terribly common in NW Ohio - sometimes it is still lukewarm in the middle of June. But not this year!

In honor of the start of summer, I thought I would create a summery card for 2 challenges: the first is for Stamp Something where their theme this week is Summer! The other challenge is this week's Sketch for You to Try from Jenn at i{heart}2stamp.

This was a fun card to make! All products are from PaperTrey Ink. The stamps are from this year's anniversary set, Round & Round. I random stamped the background with Terracotta Tile ink adding leaves with Spring Moss and little tiny dots in Lemon Tart. This was added to a yellow card front (not PTI) and there are a few other layers added that include patterned paper from PTI, and a piece of cardstock to match my background flowers. The image was stamped with Spring Moss and the double tied buttons were added as the flowers. The Spring Moss ribbon was added as well as a little sentiment on a punched piece.

I am so excited that I will be attending CHA in July with my daughter and a friend - we are making a one day trip (5 hour drive each way) out of it! Gonna be a long, tiring day but I can't wait to see what all these fabulous companies, like PaperTrey Ink, will be showing!

See you again tomorrow!

This is a beautiful card. I love how the colors are bright and cheerful! I like how you followed the design from the challenge blog, but gave it your own twist, as well. Nice!
