Welcome to another week of challenges from Heart 2 Heart and Happy Memorial Day!
This week we are getting sketchy - here's the sketch we are working with:
Disclaimer: Yes, I used paper and stamps that are not currently available from CTMH. But I couldn't help myself!!! I just received the Felicity kit that was a promotion back in January maybe and I just had to use it. If you are looking for this set, I bet there are some hanging around out there to be had. Let me know - I'll hunt one down for you.
So on to my card. Of course, all products are from Close To My Heart except the three pearls that were added as embellishment. Since I forgot to add any Big Ideas to my post yesterday, how about a couple today?
* The bird was inked up first with Blush ink and then the edges were rolled in Sorbet ink for a two-tone look.
* The "branch" swirl was stamped with 2nd generation stamping using Desert Sand ink. 2nd generation stamping is done by inking up your image, stamping once on scrap paper and then the 2nd time on your project for a lighter look.
* Don't forget to flip that B&T paper over for a complimentary but more subtle printed paper.
So how about joining in the fun this week at H2H? We'd love to have you play along! All the details and a whole lot of inspiration can be found at the challenge blog so be sure to check it out. And have a wonderful holiday! Until next time -

Very pretty, Mary. I still love the Felicity kit and just now gave one away as a prize at a crop. Maybe I should have kept it instead.
Love that bird, Mary! Such a pretty card :) Hope you enjoyed the holiday!
I love the Felicity papers, and how you used both sides of the B&T duo.
