Baby Bump from MFT and SFYTT

This week I decided to create a little something for the weekly sketch contest at i {heart} 2 stamp. There's a prize up for grabs so that was incentive enough for me to play along!

Here's the sketch and my card:

Here are some details about this card. The image is a digi image from My Favorite Things, the sponsor of this week's sketch. Paper is from Jillibean and as you can see, I paper pieced the image with the same paper. Ribbon is from PTI (yellow) and Wal-Mart (blue) and the diaper pins are from Jolee.

 My first attempt at creating something in a letterpress style and I love the results! This was created using an Impressabilities plate (from Spellbinders), cardstock from Papertrey Ink and my Cuttlebug. I didn't add any ink this time around as I wanted to see what kind of impression I got first but the next time I will try inking it up and seeing what the results are. If you're not familiar with letterpressing, it is basically debossing instead of embossing and is the kind of impression you would have on things like wedding invitations and such. A cool technique that I hope to play a lot more with!
