Each month, the Design Team from Sherrod Studio will have various challenges that we will be participating in on Tuesdays - we're calling them Tuesday Throwdowns! So you will definitely want to keep your eyes on the blog on Tuesdays starting Oct. 13.
But today we're celebrating World Card Making Day over at Paper Craft Planet. There will be various activities at PCP all day and Sherrod Studio will be sponsoring the blog hop starting at 6:00 pm EST. You don't have to be a member at Paper Craft Planet to stop by (but while you're there, you might want to join - it's a lot of fun!!) Our challenge for the day is to create a Halloween item and the challenge to the DT was to create a Halloween treat project. Here's my treat packet:
This is a prototype of the treats I am going to put together to pass out to friends and co-workers. I used the All Hallow's Eve acrylic stamp set from Sherrod Studio and stamped the haunted house in Grey Flannel ink (Close To My Heart) and the sentiment in Black Memento ink. The DP and the stamped piece were both cut with Nestabilities dies - Labels 1. I layered them going opposite directions and then attached them to the filled treat bag (glassine bags from PaperTrey Ink) with a small clothespin that was trimmed with a strip of DP and a couple of buttons.
Inside the packet the treats are candy corn and chocolate covered pretzels that I made. This is a really super quick goody that is sure to please! And very inexpensive - the biggest expense is the candy you put inside!
There are more treats to see from the rest of the DT - hop on over to Paper Craft Planet and check out the contest Sherrod Studio is hosting - you could win an acrylic stamp set!!

Mary this is so cute. I love how you used the clothes pin and the DS paper to tie the treat bag. The haunted house background is pretty cool too!

Very cute idea and I love the clothespin idea!
I love what you did with the clothespin. Looks like I am going to have to pull mine out to use. Your friends and co-workers will love it!
