So Sketchy Sunday - last chance for July!

This is the last So Sketchy Sunday sketch for July so it's your last chance to play along and be eligible to win this month's blog candy! I forgot to draw a winner for June so next Sunday, August 2nd, I will announce the June AND July winners!

All you have to do is create a card or other artwork based on this sketch:

Once your item is created, upload it to your blog or other online gallery. Then come back here and add a link to your artwork in Mister Linky below. (If you don't see the Mister Linky box, just leave a comment with a link and that will count as an entry). Be sure to have your link posted by FRIDAY at noon EST or it won't count!

Now on to my sample:

This was a fun card to put together and took no time at all! The paper is from PTI and the image from Impression Obsession. The ribbon was a dollar roll I picked up at Michael's in the spring.
I love how the colors worked so great together! If you click on the picture you can see it a bit larger and here's a tip to share with you: when coloring something like candles, be sure to add a little color glow around the outside edge of the flames as well as coloring the flame itself. I used a darker gold color for the flame and a lighter yellow color of Copic to draw some rough lines around the flames to create a glow.

This card was made for my aunt - we celebrated her birthday, my mom's birthday and my son's birthday all today! I can't believe my little boy will be 21 in one week!!! Where does the time go??
This week I have a lot to share with you including a beautiful card with stamps from Sherrod Studio, a card using Mygrafico images (some freebies for you to check out!), a birthday post for my favorite son and much more so I hope you will stop by often!

For now, I hope you'll stop by my puppy's blog (http://ridiculouslab.blogspot.com/) to see a new picture of our "princess" enjoying company at today's party. Until next time - have a creative day!

WOW! Everything here coordinates so well together. Even the dp reflects the geometry of the sketch. I love it. It always amazes me how different cards made from the same sketch can look. Just love yours.
