This card started out as a creation for Kelly's Color Chef challenge at the CTMH consultant boards and on her blog. Then I added in a sketch from Taylored Expressions and added a little technique to share with you and here's the finished product:
It was such a beautiful day, I had to take the picture outside on the patio table. All products from Close To My Heart. I like to call this card Daisy Cupcake. Here's the technique I used to get this look. I started with the Cupcake Sprinkles stamp set and inked up the solid frosting stamp with Vanilla Cream ink. Stamp onto Vanilla Cream cardstock. Then using a small flower (this is from the NEW set Endless Friendship) and I random stamped over the frosting image with a combination of flowers inked in Creme Brulee and Goldrush. I also stamped a few extra flowers on cardstock to cut out and use later and - here's the important part - stamp a few on a post it note, right over the sticky area. Cut them out and layer over the flowers at the bottom edge of the frosting. Now you can stamp the cupcake liner (this one in Juniper ink) and you won't mess up your flowers! Simple masking ...but have you thought of creating a cupcake of daisies before?
To finish up this card, I added sparkles to the punched section, a metal tag and ribbon embellishments, and a couple of pop dotted flowers, also blinged up with sparkles.
Thanks for visiting and have a creative day!

This is beautiful! Love the 3-D effect on the icing. Very bling-y!
Very sweet, I like your combination of colors and the dimension you added to the card. That 'frosting' is scrumptious.
Nicely done - I like the "frosting" on the cupcake.

Really cute Mary! What a great birthday card this would be... and as luck would have it, my mom's b-day is this week. You can bet I will be lifting this idea!

I love the way you used the punch on the bottom. I've got to try that.
