So I'm running a bit behind and don't have the So Sketchy Sunday sketch ready for this week but I will get that posted tomorrow - promise! I have been helping my son type and "spruce up" a research paper he has due this Wednesday and that has taken some time. Of course, if he hadn't picked such a lousy topic (closing Guantanamo Bay) he might be done with the paper by now. It sounds like it would be a good topic but it's a pretty new topic so research materials aren't too abundant! Anyhow, this class will be over later this week and he only has 2 finals to tkae next week and summer break - woohoo!!!!
I do have a card to share with you tonight - this one for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #65:
I love how this card turned out! The stamps are a new set I just got from Unity Stamp Company - I have been wanting a lamp set and this one was perfect! (Now I have to get myself a chair stamp - weird, I know). the cardstock is all from PaperTrey Ink and the strip of DP is from a sheet by Sassafrass (also used to paper piece the lampshade). The tiny sparkles are from Taylored Expressions and they added just the right amount of bling. The fringe was made with embroidery floss.
That's it for tonight - I am off to bed so I don't fall asleep at work tomorrow! Until next time - have a creative day!

I love the fringe at the bottom as if it were a lampshade! Very ingenious!
Hi Mary,
Love the updated look of your blog and the lamp card! I understand the craziness that is Spring right now and look forward to your next sketch challenge (maybe it will slow down so I can participate in one ;) ).
