This Friday I wanted to share a card that I made using a stamp I just received from I Brake for Stamps - they have some very unique images and this one just called to me! I used a sketch from Card Patterns and here's the final results:
I altered the sketch slightly in the following ways - the image is a little larger than suggested in the sketch, I used the pattern in the paper itself for one of the circle shapes near the image and highlighted it with brads, and I eliminated the two circle shapes on the right side of the card - I just couldn't decide what to put there!
The patterned paper is from Creative Imaginations, cardstock from PTI, the black band is embossed with a Cuttlebug border folder, although it's hard to see in the photo. Images was colored with Copics and the caying stamp is from Close To My Heart.
Card Patterns offers a weekly sketch with an opportunity to win a goody package each week and possibly be a featured Guest Designer - how fun! And you know how I LOVE sketches so I'm sure I'll be posting there often!
I'm planning a quiet weekend so I hope to get some stamping time and I'll be posting more artwork soon including a new So Sketchy Sunday sketch! Also, be sure to check out the new releases from PaperTrey Ink coming Sunday! I've seen some sneak peeks and the new sets look fabulous, as always!
Have a creative weekend!
