Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

It's that time of the month! No, not THAT time of the month but time for Papertrey Ink's customer blog hop! I almost passed this one up because I was a little stuck for an idea. The theme is to create packaging that includes felt or fabric. Well, I cheated a bit and used a pre-made fabric "package" and simply dressed it up a bit. And to make up for my little lack of creativity, I'm throwing in a card for you to see too. First up, the package:

I found these little canvas bags online and thought they would make the cutest Halloween treat holders. I stamped the image (from Friendship Jar Fall Fillers) with Memento brown ink and colored it in with colored pencils. The swirls were then traced over with Stickles. The colors of the image are not as bold as I would like but I knew Copics would bleed on the fabric so colored pencils were my best choice. I added some treats and tied up the sides and one goody bag done!

I also made a simple Halloween card using PTI products as well:

I started with the Fabulous Frames stamp set to create the frame and the Bitty Halloween Sweets and Treats dies to create the bat. The chevron die created the pieces at the bottom of the card and the tag, cut from a Nestabilities die, was threaded onto the chevron like ribbon.

That's it for me today - I'll be back soon with more seasonal goodness!

Very cute idea - and I too found that Memento is great for fabrics. Love that you added some glitter as well.

Love the treat bag - you definitely transformed it! The card is really sweet - I will definitely be borrowing the way you captured the sentiment on the chevron.
