I'm not sure how much I like this card but it was quick and easy and something that had been brewing in my head so I thought I would try it. Next time (if there's a next time) I might execute it a little differently but at least you'll get the idea:
I started with a cream card base and the lamp set from Papertrey Ink. I added some Washi tape strips to the bottom area of the card base and stamped the bottom of the lamp in gray so it "sits" on the top tape. It's hard to see in this picture but there is a circle of pale yellow sponged above the lamp base to create a glow for the light. Then instead of stamping a shade for the lamp, I cut another piece of Washi tape the size of a shade and added it over the sponged ink. This allowed the glow to show through and around the tape.
Not a bad idea but I am so out of my comfort zone doing these one layer cards! What do you think?
Have a great Friday!
