Let's Talk Organization

Today at Heart 2 Heart Challenges, we are starting a different sort of challenge we are calling From Your Heart to Ours. This is a challenge that will require you to share something other than artwork but still focusing on crafting in some way. This challenge will pop up on the challenge blog every other month and will have a different theme each time.

This month, the theme is Organization. We challenge you to share with us some way you organize your stamping/scrapping area. This can be as simple as how you store your pens to a more complex post about how your entire stamping room is organized!

By sharing these ideas, what works and what doesn't, we can learn from each other and find new ways to tackle our own organization!

So my post is going to focus on how I store my CTMH Level 2 paper packs. Let me start with a photo and then I will explain:

I was finding that it was difficult to store all the Level 2 paper packs so I could access them easily and so they didn't take up too much space in my small crafting area. So I designed a hanging system. Here's what I did -

You can see in the photo I have 2 Iris carts - one with stamps and one with misc. stamping stuff. Above each cart, I screwed an eyelet into the bottom side of my desk and hung an adjustable curtain rod from the eyelets. The eyelet is basically just a piece that has a "loop" at one end and a screw at the other.

Then I purchased curtain clips. These are circular on one end - to go on a curtain rod - and have a swively clip on the other end - normally to hold the curtain itself. I slid these onto the rod and then used the clip portion to hang each Level 2 bag. Now I can simply swing each bag toward me to browse through the papers or unclip entirely to remove the whole package of paper.

If you would like to see more of my organization, check out this post from April when I participated in an organizational blog hop. Then come on over to Heart 2 Heart and share with us your tips and ideas.

Have a creative week!

Very creative and economical way to make your own clip-it-up! I could see many other uses for this type of system...

Mary, this is a great idea! I love that you can utilize the space under your desk! Saving space and getting organized at the same time is a good thing! *Ü*

Oooh, love this idea. I can see myself using this to store smaller things, too. Hmmm, now you have me thinking! TFS :)
