Embossing for H2H - and a candy winner!

Before we get to this week's H2H challenge, I randomly drew a winner from everyone who participated in my birthday blog candy give-away (thank you and welcome new followers!) and the winner is Regena! Congratulations - I will be contacting you soon to get your mailing address for your prize!

Now on to this week's challenge. We are embossing this week - dry or heat embossing. Here's my sample:

I stuck with some simple Cuttlebug folder embossing and then added a cluster of autumn leaves from the Flourished Blessings set as my focal image. The paper is from an older paper pack (For the Boys, I believe) and the border punch I used is from Martha Stewart. The cardstock is kraft cardstock from another company but I couldn't resist using it for this card - the color just worked so well. I also tacked the ends of the twine in place so I could keep them in place.

I hope you will try your hand at some embossing this week and show us your creation at the H2H challenge blog. I will be back in a couple of days with a look at some of the Halloween projects I've been creating plus have more cards to share. Have a creative week!

Mary, this is fabulous! I love the textures and the way you swirled the hemp.
