Twisted Thursday at S2G

It's another Twisted Thursday at Shirley's 2 Girls and this week the twist is to add in the color yellow to your artwork.

I had a chance to work with a super cute digi image this week and created a simple but useful project:

It's a book plate! In order to make these easily and effectively, I backed the DP (from Cosmo Cricket) with an adhesive sheet and then cut out the shape of the plate. In this case, I simply used a rectangle Nestabilities die and then punched the corners. I then printed my digi image and die cut it also (this time with a die from Papertrey Ink). I colored the image, adhered it to the DP mat and added a strip of felt ric-rac. Then to use in a book, you simply peel off the backing of the adhesive sheet and adhere! Don't forget to write the owner's name on the plate as well. And voila - a personalized book plate! Think what a cute gift this would be for a reader, young or old!

Here's a close-up of the adorable image:

I hope you'll play along at S2G this week and while you're there, be sure to check out what else the DT has created! I'm having a blast creating along with them this month!

Until next time, have a creative day!
