Cooking it up with Katie

Things are really starting to cook with Katie! Our Design Team has doubled in size and starting in August, we will be bringing you a challenge every single week with prizes! So be sure to stop by and welcome all the new DT members. You can find the complete list over in my sidebar (oh and the Cooking it Up blog has a whole new look too - check it out!)

This week our recipe ingredients are:

1. Use yellow
2. Add faux or real stitching
3. Base your project on a sketch from another challenge blog

So I started with the sketch at CCEE Stampers and an adorable digi image from our sponsor this week, Meljen.

I included plenty of yellow and the stitching is in the ribbon - I love this look! With saddle stitched ribbon (from PaperTrey Ink), you can easily pull the stitching at one end and scrunch the ribbon - isn't it pretty? The paper is from Cosmo Cricket (DeLovely) and the image was colored with Copic markers.

I hope you will cook something up with us this week! Follow our recipe and create your project and then link up over at the Cooking blog for a chance to win 4 digis from Meljen.

I will be busy hosting Virtual Convention for some 800 CTMH consultants over the next couple of days (can't wait to hear about all the new goodies Close To My Heart will be revealing at their Washington, DC Convention!!!) but I will be back on Sunday with more challenges and fun for you! Until then, have a creative day!

Mary,
I love this! The stitched ribbon is perfect and you used my current favorite paper pad!

Sweet image and i like what you did with the ribbon. Good luck with the virtual convention, what a great idea in this time of economic stress to eliminate the cost of traveling.
