All about Mom

This week the challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges is focusing on Mom. If you haven't gotten a card made for your Mom, now's the time! Normally when you think of Mom, do you think of flowers? I do to a degree but when I got this stamp set from Close To My Heart, I knew I had to use it for my Mom's card because she loves strawberries!

The papers are from the new Cherry-O kit and the little bit older Emporium paper kit. The luscious strawberries are from a brand new set called Fruitful Delight. I kept things pretty simple so the focus was on the berries, adding just a light layer of Liquid Glass over the fruit for some shine. Oh and a couple of sparkles on the sentiment because Mom deserves a little bling, don't you think?

I hope you'll check out what the rest of the Design Team created and then join in the fun! Just create something for Mom and link it up over at the challenge blog. We'd love to see what you create!

What are you planning for Mother's Day? We are having my Mom over for dinner and my mom-to-be daughter will be here with her hubby and we're making the men cook! My hubby is grilling, son-in-law is making the potatoes and veggies and dessert will be a store bought cheesecake. No cooking for me - I like that!

See you again soon!

My Mom loves Strawberries too! That is why I just ordered this set yesterday for her birthday, but after seeing your card, maybe I'll just keep it and make her things with it!! Your strawberries look so real with the liquid glass. Love it!

My mom would love this card! She'd send me to pick strawberries when I was little. I'd return with very few seeing that I ate more than I picked!

Mary your strawberries look REAL! Seriously! Did you build up the liquid glass in the center to make them look rounded? Come on what's the secret? Love, love it!
