Woodgrain and trees

I needed a simple, masculine card for my brother-in-law's birthday (today) and PTI came to the rescue - take a look:

I stamped the background with the new PaperTrey Ink border set: Woodgrain and the tree is from the gorgeous Through the Trees set. I used Spring Moss ink for the leaves and the brown and blue inks are from Close To My Heart. It is hard to see from the photo but I also "kissed" the woodgrain border stamp to the tree trunk stamp before stamping it and that created a little bark look on the tree. The cream cardstock is also from PTI (the brown from CTMH).

Simple but just right!

What have you stamped lately? I would love to see! Just leave me a comment with a link to your artwork and I'll pop by and see what you've been up to. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by my random ramblings blog Ridiculous Lab - I'd love to see you there!

This is really pretty and masculine all at the same time! I am chuckling though...I was talking about hunting today, as there are a lot of hunters in AK...so I kept thinking how good a gun would look in the corner pointed at the sweet birdie! LOL I seriously don't like hunting at all...or guns really...with the exception of the glue/tape/heat variety. Alaska is already growing on me!
