Ribbons - do you love them?

I don't know what it is but ribbons are definitely my go-to embellishment - I think (most) everything looks better with ribbon! So this week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge is all about ribbons.

Your challenge is to include at least 2 different ribbons into your artwork. Pretty easy so I'm sure we will have a lot of talented people playing along!

Here's my card:

I used the Emporium Level 2 paper pack and created the base of my card using strips from some of the papers in the pack. I then topped the card with the yellow cardstock, punched with a Fiskars border punch. The umbrella was stamped on yet another piece of B&T from the set, colored a little with Copics, cut out and added to the card with foam tape. I stamped the umbrella handle on the card itself before adding the cut out piece.

My 2 ribbons are then layered at the bottom of the card. I was going to tie a piece of ribbon around the umbrella handle but didn't find anything skinny enough to work so I left it at that. The sentiment is not from Close To My Heart but it fit exactly what I was looking for with this card - a pick-me-up sort of card for someone having a bad day.

I hope you'll stop by the Challenge blog and check out what all the other Design Team peeps have created and then play along! All of the directions are on the challenge blog. See you there!

Really like this layout, Mary. Adorable card. And YES, I do love ribbons. They are often the perfect finishing touch. Yours is certainly the right touch for this card. Love it.
