Warm Fuzzies

I wanted to create a card for the challenge at the Cooking it Up with Katie challenge blog and, in doing so, also ended up with a card for the Mojo Monday challenge. Double duty - nothing wrong with that!

Here are the requirements for Katie's challenge:

* Use the Decoupage/3D/Paper Tole technique (this is where you color more than one copy of the image and cut out and pop up certain parts to form a 3D image, for my English viewers you can use the preprinted sheets for this too)
*Use some metal
*Add the current challenge from your favorite blog

And here's what I came up with:

The bunny slipper image (maker unknown but I purchased the stamp at Viva LasVegastamps) was stamped a total of 4 times. Once on the circle piece, and then three times on a separate sheet of cardstock. On top the base layer, I popped a second colored layer of the entire image, then on top of that I popped on a layer of just the slipper on the right and finally, the last layer is the little tail on the bunny on the right. It's hard to tell in the picture but it really is a lot of awesome dimension!

The metal I added is the pink piece with the brads to the right of the bunnies. This is a corner anchor from Close To My Heart. A little ribbon was added for some more detail and the sentiment "Warm Fuzzies" was stamped using alphabet stamps from JustRite Stampers.

The overall layout of the card was based on this week's sketch from Mojo Monday:

And after I finished stamping, look who was peeking in on me:

That's my puppy-girl hanging out with mom while she's crafting and everyone else is off to bed. Sometimes she's in the craft room with me and sometimes, like tonight, she's just hanging out in the hall. It's nice having a companion around when the house is all quiet.

If you want to play along with the challenges on either of these blogs, there's still time! I am hoping to get some more stamping time this weekend but it's going to be a busy one - this Sunday, we are celebrating 7 family birthdays with one party! Brunch and cake - should be a fun day!

However you spend your weekend, I hope it's filled with warm fuzzies! See you again on Sunday with an announcement and another Big Idea!

Very cute and cozy! I love it. Your sweet girl reminds me of my Tanner. He is also a yellow lab and he sits right at my feet (including now) when I'm stamping and on the computer :)
