It always surprises me how quickly the spring flowers start popping up when the snow disappears. The tulips along the side of my house will be blooming before you know it. I have mostly red tulips but also have a few yellow thrown into the mix. So pretty when they are out in full force!
This Easter card reminds me of those tulips and I just love how great they look in the pretty basket from PaperTrey Ink's Vintage Picnic. I also created the background on the kraft cardstock using white ink and 2 different stamp sets: Background Basics: Spots and Dots and Distressed Stripes - also from PTI. The cardstock is also from PTI, except for the Buttercup yellow which is from Close To My Heart. To trim everything up, I added 2 vintage buttons tied with scrapper's floss and added some gorgeous crocheted trim as well. The matted image piece is popped up on foam tape and the entire front section of the card is added to the white card base on foam tape as well.
This card was created for Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed challenge #2. The challenge was to include the following "seeds": Spring Moss (check), buttons (check) and polka dots (check, check). It was such a fun card to make and will be mailed out for an Easter hello in the next few days.
Thanks for stopping by to see what's new - I hope you'll stop by my random blog at Ridiculous Lab and say hello while you're there. Have a great Friday!

OK, I am officially jealous that you have daffodils blooming right now. We have...snow. :) I love the card...the lace is the perfect touch!
I love the background you created. It goes so great with the lace. Well done!
Great card! Perfect subtle spring colors :)
Oooo! I love that background and little bit of lace! So pretty!
I'm always shocked at how quick the spring bulbs start blooming after the snow too! I wish I wasn't so sick of tending to flowers from the summer that I'd get off my rear and plant bulbs in the fall.
At least I can look at fabulous spring flower cards :) and this one is gorgeous!! I love the combo of backgrounds, Mary! I debated on the new distressed stripes and I'm wishing now that I did buy it.
