I love the templates created by Lauren Meader and purchased one of the newest ones, which is a baby buggy. I was thinking over various, non-baby ways to use the template and came up with something that I think turned out pretty cute. But first let me say, if you haven't been to Lauren's new site, My Time Made Easy, you definitely have to check it out - that girl is so full of such great ideas!!!
So here is what I created:
I am so excited about the way this template was used. What I did was cut 2 of the baby buggy body with my Cricut from a sheet of cardstock DP from Crate Paper. I assembled each body separately, flipped one upside down and then adhered the two pieces together in the middle to make the holder. I kept the decorations simple by adding some digital paper that I colored in Photoshop (also from My Time Made Easy) and a ribbon around the middle where the two pieces are joined. A little tag with a name stamped on it and you have an egg holder that doubles as a place card on your Easter table!
I also decorated my egg with stamps but I wouldn't do this for real Easter eggs - not sure the ink would be good for you if it got on the egg. But for this display, it worked great! I used images from the Argyle Amazement set (also from MTME) and Petal and Sweet Leaf inks from Close To My Heart. The egg is then sitting on top a little piece of styrofoam for added support and I added some crumbled strips of Sweet Leaf cardstock as "grass".
So what do you think? Isn't it adorable?? Just to add, in case you're wondering, the little bunny is from my collection of Pendelfin rabbits...I've been collecting since I was much younger and I have a nice collection of them. They're rather hard to find locally as they are made in England and are not common around here. But every once in awhile I find an addition to my collection so it does continue to grow!
Thanks for stopping by - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
I have a few things in the works including a new Close To My Heart challenge blog that will be starting in April so I hope you keep checking back! If you would like a preview of the challenge blog, you can see what is started here: Heart 2 Heart Challenges. Have a great day!

What a fantastic egg holder!
Very sweet! I hope the egg is already boiled, I think the rabbit might have designs on it for lunch.
