Monogrammed Notecards

One of my first committments this New Year is to fulfill an order I received for monogrammed notecards. These will be gifts to new board members of a hospital auxillary. In preparation, I created a few samples that "landed" me the job. Before I get too busy with DT projects, I thought I would share these samples with you. Maybe they will inspire you to create some gifts for the coming year - then you'll have a stockpile of goodies ready to go! Simple leave the monogram portion until the time arrives, then add the appropriate letter (or combo of letters), wrap your notecards and envelopes with a ribbon and you have an instant gift!

This first card features a beautiful DP topped by a matching section of cardstock (Papertrey Ink). The monogram was then stamped with a JustRite stamp and the piece was cut with a Labels 1 Nestabilities die. The border on the piece is a stamp from Waltzingmouse stamps.

This card has gorgeous DP, along with a great scalloped border along the card bottom and Nestabilities cut medallion for the focal piece. The "ribbon" is simply a strip of cardstock. You'll notice that these cards feature very few embellishments for 2 reasons: 1 - I wanted to be sure there were no pieces that might accidentally fall off and 2 - I wanted to keep the cards flat and light so there would be no concern about additional postage.

This card has a Cuttlebugged background and a matted band that was stamped with a damask border (from PTI). The monogram piece is again from JustRite Stampers and was cut with a scalloped Nestabilities die. My favorite color - purple - swoon!

The last sample is a little more masculine and could be used for male or female. This card has a combination of printed DP along with kraft cardstock. You'll notice that the leafy printed paper is cut with a large Nestabilities die (the same one that the monogrammed piece is cut with only larger) and then split in half and added to the card front for a nice edge. A strip of cardstock ties the top and the bottom of the card together and just a couple of elegant images add the final touch on the piece.

I love monogrammed cards because they can include a lot or a little stamping and they always look elegant. Try these out for yourself and you're sure to have a gift that pleases just about anyone!

Have a creative day!

Great cards and I love the idea of making these and then adding the monogram as needed. I think the second one is my favorite, but they are all great!
