PTI Vintage Ornaments

Just got my PaperTrey Ink order and had to ink up the new Vintage Ornaments! They are just so awesome and I know you will be seeing much more from this set over the coming weeks. Here is what I came up with:

I am in love! So simple and yet so many pretty elements! Let me tell you all about it -

I made the card base from PTI kraft cardstock and I dry embossed some lines at the bottom edge of the card using my Scor-Pal. The white diamond border was stamped with Retro Backgrounds from PTI using White Daisy ink from Close To My Heart. The branches and ornament hanger were stamped with images from an ornament set from Flourishes and ink from Close To My Heart. The focal ornament was stamped on white cardstock with Spring Moss from PTI. Then I overstamped with Spot on Backgrounds from Close To My Heart and I embossed the dots in white.

The ornament was then cut out and added to the card with foam tape for dimension. Some green Stickles were added to the branches for some sparkle and some ribbon, also from PTI, finished off the card with a pretty bow.

I have to say - while I may be in the Christmas stamping mood, I am just not ready for Christmas music and TV specials and all that just yet. In our little suburb, they had the lighting of the Christmas tree tonight along with the arrival of Santa and caroling and the works! I just think it's too early and by the time Christmas arrives, we are gonna be sick of it! I plan on focusing on Thanksgiving the next couple of weeks (well, maybe not in my stamping....lol). I joined in on a "what I am thankful for today" thing that is going around on Facebook. If you're interested, join me on Facebook and become my friend and then start your own thankful posts. It feels good to reflect each day on what makes me thankful.

I'll tell you this - I am truly thankful for all of my friends who visit my blog on a regular basis! I hope you liked today's card...I plan on sharing more with this set soon! Until next time, have a creative day!
