Sundays get Corrosive!

I am excited to announce that starting next Sunday, I will be participating with the Corrosive Challenges by Janet blog as part of the Design Team - woohoo! Every Sunday, I will post the card I created for the weekly challenge and will let you know what the theme for the week is. Then you can jump in, get creative and enter at Janet's blog to try and win the weekly prize!

In addition to that, every Sunday's post will include some type creative idea that I want to pass along...maybe a technique, or a coloring idea or something to do with embellishments....just something that I have included in my card that day that I want to share with you - call it a Big Idea to try!

So Sunday, Sunday, Sunday is gonna be BIG! Don't miss out!

Today I have a card to share with you and some tips and ideas to pass along as well but this is not part of the Corrosive Challenges - that will start next Sunday.

What I love about this card is the simplicity of it. The designer paper (from Imaginesce) is too cute to cover so I let it take center stage. The main stamped image then is just the sentiment from the All Hallow's Eve set by Sherrod Studio. Here's the tips and ideas for the day:
* See the border around the sentiment? That was created by leaving the piece in the Nestabilities die after cutting it and tracing along the inner edge of the die with a fine tip black pen. Instant frame - easy peasy!
* Also, to add a "border" without covering up the paper, I ran two lines of random machine stitching toward the bottom of the card.

So what do you think? If you try either of these ideas, leave me a comment - I would love to see what you created!

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for the MyGrafico team BLOG HOP! It's gonna be SWEET and there are prizes in store ALL WEEK long! Then check in on Tuesday for Time Out Tuesdays and again on Friday for It's Friday, Featuring.... see you soon!

This is a very cute card. Love the 'wacky' stitching along the bottom - that adds a nice touch to the card.

Cute card! I agree that paper is too fun to cover up, so your sentiment and accents are perfect. You are one busy gal!!! Congrats on your Top 5 pick too over at Lauren M.'s blog!

Hi roomie! Glad we are bunking on two of gigs..hehe. I really need to sew on my cards sometime. My sewing machine sits right next to me on the floor. I just still use it for fabric. haha.
