Summer sand pail fun!

I have a fun, colorful card to share with you that is the perfect summer greeting:

These stamps are from By the Seashore set from Sherrod Studio. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket and the cardstock used is from Close To My Heart. I love the images in this set because there is such a nice selection of images that can be used together or alone.

I colored the sand pail using Copics that coordinated with the paper and used a Fiskars punch to add the detail on the strip with the sentiment. A couple of ribbon loops and square transparent buttons finish the look.

For those who are Copic novices (as I am!) here's a little tip I have been trying to use more - to add a very light gray line outside of the image to add a little dimension. You can see this on the right side of the pail - this is Copic C01.

Thanks for visiting and have a creative day!

Fun! I like how you punched holes in the white band so that the patterned paper shows through.

That is such a joyful, colorful card! I especially like the tie-in with the punches on the circles on the paper. Your tip regarding copic coloring is really helpful.
