So The Greeting Farm is hosting a challenge - to create a card using just one layer. No matting, no extra paper....yeah not as easy as it sounds!
I thought I had a good idea yesterday but after three hours, I threw what I was working on in the "round file". I thought about it and thougth about it and finally came up with an idea and I am pretty happy with the results:
All one layer baby! I cut the card using a large Nestability (sorry I don't recall the name of this one - it's one of the newer dies) and then stamped the summer Anya on the card front. I masked her and then sponged ink to create the sun, sand and sea. I then highlighted portions of each and colored Miss Anya with Copics. I kept the embellishments to a minimum, adding a few sparkles to her skirt and a little shimmery pen to her glasses.
Definitely a challenge this time!
Have a creative Wednesday - and be sure to scroll down for my earlier post from today -

What a cute card. Love how you did the sand look. Totally cute!
Beautiful job! One layer cards are challenging and you mastered it!
That doesn't look at all like a one layer card, you did a great job of adding dimension.
Really love this. I recently had the same challenge and you are right it is really a tough one. I use alot of layers. Really cute.
WOW!!! This is an AWESOME one layer card! The sand looks so realistic and I love the shimmer on the sun's rays :)
That looks like more then one layer! Beautiful. Worth the effort.
