Shout-Out on Time-out Tuesday

I want to give a shout-out today to one of my favorite blogs - if you haven't been here before, you really need to pop by and have a good laugh! Cake Wrecks Yep, it's just as it sounds - all about cakes that have been "decorated" and turned out pretty awful. I guess I find it funny as I used to teach cake decorating and I have certainly seen my share of disasters!!! (oh, and I may have created one or two of them myself! lol) Anyhow, there are some Easter bunny cakes featured there now and they just cracked me up! Be sure to read the captions.

Now for a little artwork, just for the heck of it!



I found this stamp in a clearance sale at Impression Obsession's website and thought it was so darn cute! I stamped the birds on a wire in Memento ink and colored them with Copics, cut them out with the new Nestabilities Labels 3 and mounted on foam tape over some bright blue satin ribbon. Added the adorable paper strips (from Heidi Grace) so it looks like they are hanging over the treetops. Mounted everything on Sorbet cardstock which was paper pieced around the edges and then onto Star Spangled Blue cardstock - both from Close To My Heart.
