Back on track...and a technique to share

I missed you all on Tuesday! The day got away from me and then we ended up with a computer virus yesterday that kept me from posting so I am sneaking in a quick update from work this morning.

For my Time-out Tuesday post, I wanted to share an easy technique with you - you can see the sample in the next post down, on the Earth Day card. If you could see the tree stamp in person, you would see that the tree doesn't have a grid-y texture on it - it is completely solid. Here's how to create the look of the tree I have stamped - drywall tape! Yep, it's that easy. Next time you're at your hardware store, look for a roll of drywall tape. This is similar to Magic Mesh...do they still make that? It's low tack and can be placed on your cardstock, stamped on, and then removed leaving you with an image that has a grid look to it. The additional color on my tree was added with a Copic marker to finish filling it out. Easy peasy huh?

Also, I'm sure you have noticed the new look to my blog. I would love to hear your comments on the new look! I will be back tomorrow with more artwork to share! Until then, have a creative day!
