Anniversary

A few days ago, my beautiful daughter and handsome son-in-law celebrated their 6th anniversary. Here is the card I made for them:

It's hard to tell in the photo, but the card base is embossed and there's just a peek of the inside which is layered with red and then a white piece for the sentiment. The striped heart and red heart mat were die cut (PTI dies) and the stamped heart was hand cut and layered over a trimmed piece of ribbon (kinda looks like an arrow, I think) and this was all added to a band of red cardstock which slides off the card in order to open the gatefold front.

Happy Anniversary

This past weekend, while we were at a friend's daughter's wedding, my own daughter was back home celebrating her 5th wedding anniversary. This is the card I made for her and her hubby:

All products (except the printed paper) is from Papertrey Ink. These are the colors my daughter used in her wedding so that was my reasoning for using them. Her and her husband enjoyed a nice anniversary evening and next month, on the anniversary of their 1st date, they'll be renewing their vows at Navy Pier in Chicago - one of their favorite locations.

Love Blooms

Today is my daughter and son-in-law's 4th anniversary - where does the time go? It seems like we were just planning a wedding and now it's 4 years later. These two have been through so much in those 4 years but the one thing have a lot of is love for each other. Here's wishing them continued love and blessings together for many years to come!

Sorry for the photo quality....not my best!  I thought a floral anniversary card was perfect this year as they have been really rocking the yard work this summer! Transforming a yard is never an easy chore and they have put in lots of time and energy and it's looking great!

These stamps are from the anniversary set from Papertrey Ink (how appropriate for an anniversary card!) The background was impressed with the PTI leafy prints impression plate. A little colored pencil added some highlights to the flowers on the card and I kept everything in my daughter's wedding colors - black, white and red.
