Today's sketch for the Mygrafico weekly challenge took a turn for me....literally!
Here's the sketch:
Now flip that sketch to the left and you'll see what I came up with:
If you can't quite see the sketch here, let me help you visualize....see the three strips on the sketch? Well on my card, those three strips are the three sets of stripes on the DP! And the image is where it should be, only rotated. Make sense? I thought it would be fun to create what resembles a hanging photo so I printed the Sweetie Girls image and then trimmed her down to a rectangular framed photo size and hung her picture up on the "wall" with ribbon and a hanger. Fun, right?
Oh and also, did you notice the spots on her dress? After I colored her dress with a Copic marker, I went back with the Copic colorless blender and removed some of the color, leaving her with a little polka dot look. If you look closely in the stripes on the DP, you'll see tiny aqua colored dots - that's where I got the inspiration for her dress.
So would you like to play along with us this week and create a card based on our sketch? If you're stumped, you'll definitely want to visit the rest of the DT to see what they have created!
You might just win the Sweetie Girls digi set!
Just create your card and post to your blog or other online gallery (be sure to use the keyword MG25) and then leave a link at the MyGrafico Challenges blog for a chance to win! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
