Boy, oh boy! I have just been late with everything recently! I'm either waaayyy busy or I'm old and forgetful...I like to think it's the way busy reason.
Anyhow, I am finally getting my post up for the MyGrafico weekly sketch challenge! This should have been a simple card to make but I think I was just over-thinking during the creative process. Hopefully you like the results!
And here's the sketch I worked from:
Yes I thought it looked easy too! What I decided to do was use a large swirl from a piece of patterned paper and cut it out to make the swirly mid-section of the sketch. After I cut it out, I distressed the edges a bit, added some gold sparkly touches and a few pale green rhinestones. The castle (one of the images from the digi set you can win if you play along this week!) was printed and then highlighted with a gold sparkly pen and a couple more green rhinestones. I also colored just a couple of sections on the castle to match the patterned paper. And the cream background was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
We would love to have you join us this week for our challenges! We have one posted on Monday and a sketch posted every Wednesday. Enter twice and double your chances of winning! Here is this week's prize digi set:
So give it a try! Head over the the MyGrafico Challenge blog for all the details and to enter your artwork. While you're there, be sure to see what the rest of the Design Team has to show for this sketch!
Back to housework for me - have a creative day!
