Vintage Bird

This simple card was based on a sketch by AmyR - it was a challenge to leave all the empty space but I like the results!



I embossed my scalloped oval nestie onto the card front and then stamped my Vintage Bird from Pink Poison in the space and colored her with a combination of Copics and colored pencils. The saying was stamped to the left of her (although the sketch suggested the sentiment to the right of the image but it just didn't work for me there). I also went around some of the feathers with a sparkly gel pen - here's a close-up:



And of course, when all was said and done, I just had to add some ribbon to the top (shhhh, not in the sketch - this was an after-thought!
