It's time for another blog hop with Papertrey Ink and this month, we are celebrating winter holidays that aren't Christmas.
I was a little stuck on this idea at first but seeing as I have a brother and sister-in-law who celebrate Hanukkah as well as Christmas, I knew what holiday I wanted to create for but then there was another hurdle to leap - I don't own anything Hanukkah related! So I pondered this for a few days and finally settled on an idea that I really love! I hope you do too!
First let me say that hopefully I didn't mess up too much with this, as I added 7 candles (rather than 9) as I found varying answers on the web. My apologies if 7 is totally wrong!
To create this card, I used the hanging snowflakes from the Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers set and then stamped my candles (not from PTI) so it looks like they are hanging from the snowflakes as well. I added connecting dots to the candles using a gray pen. After coloring the stars and candles, I added just a little prisma glitter to the center of each snowflake.
The stamped piece was then mounted to an icy blue cardstock and the sentiment was adhered with brads. To finish the card, I tied some very fine silver thread around the top edge.
This challenge was a wonderful opportunity to think outside the box and I hope you enjoyed the end result as much as I enjoyed creating it! Have fun hopping along and seeing what everyone else created. You can find the entire hop list HERE.
Until next time, have a creative week!
