I have a quick post for this week's Heart 2 Heart Challenges color challenge. Here are the colors we are working with:
And here is my sample card:
I kept it simple so the large flower takes center stage. The flower was stamped in Creme Brulee and overstamped in White Daisy (not that you can tell in the photo-sorry about that!) I also went over some of the lines in the flower with a sparkly clear pen which actually looks a little gold, rather than clear. But it worked with these colors so that's good.
The stem is a 2nd generation Garden Green and the Make a wish sentiment was stamped with Vineyard Berry - 1st and 2nd generation, just a little offset. I decided to stamp the sentiment like this so it would blend with the "fuzziness" of the flower image.
A Vineyard Berry bow was tied around the stem and a combination of Blush and Vineyard Berry was used to mat the image. Finally, I took the hanger portion off the Creme Brulee photo hanger embellishments and added those to the top and botton with matching large brads.
I hope you will join us this week and see what you can create with these colors (or something close to them). And be sure to drop by the challenge blog and leave some love for our outgoing Design Team members - this is their last week of challenges before the new team starts on Aug. 2nd!
Have a creative day!
Gorgeous! I'm doing the challenge - one of these days. Love the color combo.
