It's Blog Hope with PTI Day! I love playing along and this month I had a chance to create a little card based off this inspiration photo:

I went with the colors in the images and the little bird and created this:

I started by impressing my red background with the Guidelines impression plate (click the photo to see close up). Then I roughed up the edges of the red piece and added it to a white card base. I also added white dots at the intersecting corners of the embossed piece using a white gel pen.

The bird was die cut from white and stamped in Spring Rain with the wings and belly stamped in Blueberry Sky. These pieces were all scuffed up a bit around the edges too and the assembled and added to a couple of branches, stamped in white.

Finally the sentiment was added on a die cut oval and there you have it! Simple and sweet.

This weekend is family birthday time so Saturday I'm baking a cake and Sunday it's family :)  Hope your weekend is fun - that's what weekends are for!
