A little luck for you!

I have a little Woo-Hoo before I get to today's post - if you scroll down and see the egg holder/place card that I created for a challenge, it won Lauren Meader's pick for best project using one of the templates from MTME!  I am so excited! I didn't expect to win so I am really honored that Lauren liked my project. Challenges are so fun - especially when you win!  :)

Now on to today's Corrosive Challenge - maybe you could win a great prize package too!

Today we are creating a project with luck as a theme. I took that directly to heart and went with a classic symbol of good luck - the 4 leaf clover!

Here's some Big Ideas to share with you:

* A great way to create a distinctive background is to use scraps of DP that color coordinate. I used 7 strips (a lucky number by the way) and adhered them to the card front to create this background. For a standard size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) cut your strips 4 1/8" long by 3/4" wide and you will fit seven of them perfectly!

* To add a little sparkle and keep the card simple and not over-done, I used a two-way glue pen and added a line of glue around the outer edge of the piece the image was stamped on. When cutting and embossing with a Nestabilies die, the embossing leaves a nice edge that you can follow to add the glue. Then sprinkle with prisma glitter and that's all you need!

This image is from PaperTrey Ink's set Sign Language. 1st time I have had a chance to ink this set up!

If you want to play along with the Corrosive team this week, great something that says luck to you. Link it up over at the Corrosive blog and you might win the monthly prize package which includes:
4 DIGIS FROM LAURETTES DIGITALS

2 MAGNOLIA STAMPS
2 PACKAGES OF BELLA DOTS

I'd love to see what you create! On a side note, I will be starting some random blogging over at one of my other blogs: Ridiculous Lab. My lab girlie, Leia, just isn't keeping the blog up much so I'm going to take over and start posting all sorts of odd ramblings so I hope you'll stop by sometime and see what's on my mind from time to time. It may not be anything too enlightening but at least I will aim for entertaining. Until next time -
